Special Education Teacher Middle School 12:1:1 Self Contained Classroom (Probationary)070826MSSped

Ballston Spa Middle School is looking for a certified Special Education teacher to work in a 12:1+1 classroom (grades 6-8) with students that are New York State Alternate Assessed (NYSAA). Experience working in a special class for students with multiple disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, is preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to employ various techniques and methods of instruction to meet individual needs, work collaboratively with related service providers, and effectively lead staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, writing and progress monitoring IEP's, communicating with team members and parents, and planning transition activities.

Base: $51,725/yr.
