Malta Avenue Elementary School has a vacancy for a special education teacher for students who receive special class 15:1 in grade 2 and 3.   A strong background in literacy and math instruction is preferred. There are two openings. 

Experience working in a special class for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Confidence and expertise employing various techniques and methods of instruction to meet individual  needs; ability to work collaboratively with related service providers; and effectively lead staff. Responsibility for writing and progress monitoring IEP's. Strong communication skills and organization.  Willingness to involve parents in the educational process and consistently inform.

Milton Terrace Elementary school has vacancy for a probationary special education teacher.  The assignment includes direct consultant teaching and may also include providing special class reading instruction and resource room supports for students in grades K-5.  A strong background in literacy and math instruction is preferred.

Ballston Spa High School is looking for a certified Special Education teacher with a dual certification in Social Studies. The ideal candidate has experience working with a secondary student population, is familiar with NYS Special Education regulations, and is comfortable teaching the NYS Social Studies standards.
