Job Description

The District is seeking an English as a New Language (ENL) teacher dedicated to ensuring that English Language Learners (ELLs) develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing to thrive academically. A successful candidate will demonstrate competency in delivering high-quality ENL instruction through both Integrated and Stand-alone models. Strong interpersonal skills are required to effectively collaborate with content area teachers, utilizing expertise to identify and implement appropriate scaffolds, tools, and accommodations that maximize student growth and ensure equitable access to the curriculum. The ENL teacher is responsible for coordinating and administering mandated assessments and screenings, as well as collaborating with students regarding appropriate testing accommodations. Finally, the ENL teacher serves as a liaison among the school, families, and community resources to effectively advocate for the unique needs of multilingual learners.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: NYS Certification: ESOL 

Salary: $51,725/yr. (Salary will vary commensurate with experience, experienced applicants will typically see an increase over base)
