Job Description

Wood Road Elementary has a vacancy for a 12:1:1 Grade 2-3 Special Education Teacher. Experience working in a special class for students with multiple disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders. Confidence and expertise employing various techniques and methods of instruction to meet individual needs; ability to work collaboratively with related service providers; and effectively lead staff. Responsibility for writing and progress monitoring IEP's. Strong communication skills and organization.  Willingness to involve parents in the educational process and consistently inform.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: NYS Certification: Special Education 

Salary: BASE: $51,000 (Salary will vary commensurate with experience, experienced applicants will typically see an increase over base)
